The problem that caused blank icons to appear in the applications on Apple Watch Series 7 has been resolved. After re-downloading the applications, the icons reappear in the user’s field of vision. Early adopters of Apple Watch Series 7 reported a phenomenon in which the application icon failed to appear on the device.
This problem appears in all places where icons appear in watchOS, but it seems to only affect third-party applications of the 7 series. This problem does not appear on other lower-resolution models, nor does it appear on the Xcode simulator. Let the cause of the problem become a bit mysterious.
Although this problem can be solved by manually re-downloading the application, it will continue to manifest itself after a while until the developer releases an application update or Apple implements a fix. On Tuesday, based on the suggestions of PCalc creator James Thomson and other developers, Apple believes that this problem can be solved on the server-side without user intervention.

Apple’s solution appears to be to trigger the automatic re-download of the affected application, that is, from App Store to the device. The app store’s list says This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon, indicating that they have been refreshed by Apple.
It is unclear how long it will take for this fix to be fully rolled out to all watchOS applications, but it will end an annoying problem that plagued Apple’s newly released wearable devices.
