The well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) revealed the news again today that the OnePlus 9 RT will be released on October 15. And this is in line with Android Central’s report last month, saying that the machine will be launched in October this year. It was previously reported that OnePlus may not launch the “T” version of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in 2021, which means that the OnePlus 9 RT may be the brand’s last major mobile phone this year.

Upcoming smartphones will have many similarities with the OnePlus 9R because the former core specifications will be the same as the latter. It is expected that it will use the same 6.55-inch 120Hz AM OLED panel, 4500mAh battery, and 65W charging. However, the OnePlus 9 RT will be equipped with the higher grade Snapdragon 870.
The camera is another area where the OnePlus 9 RT is slightly different from 9R: the former will use OnePlus Nord 2’s 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, while the latter is different, it will be equipped with a 48MP main camera. This will also be the first OnePlus phone to offer OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12.
