iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are official: Apple announced them during its California Streaming event, which you can follow with our live Twitch and live blog. Tim Cook says that this year’s Pro range is the one that most differs from the standard version we have talked about very recently; starting from the materials, with edges in surgical stainless steel, all-new cameras, a much larger battery and four colors – Graphite, Gold, Silver and the brand new Sierra Blue.
Philosophically, the Pro models follow in the footsteps of the regular iPhone 13: the notch gets smaller, the internal design is more rational and therefore the battery is larger. On the iPhone 13 Pro (and Pro Max, of course).
One of the biggest upgrades of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro series is the use of ProMotion high screen refresh with a refresh rate of 10Hz-120Hz. This customized OLED screen is still covered with super-ceramic glass and has a higher brightness.
The global maximum brightness of the new screen can reach 1000 nit outdoors, which is a significant improvement over the previous generation. In HDR mode, the excitation brightness can reach 1200nit, similar to iPhone 13/Mini.
