Nova Launcher has always been one of the most popular third-party launchers and after eight months in the beta channel, the latest app update is finally arriving in a stable version. Nova 7 is based on the latest AOSP code and updated Nova Launcher code and includes new animations, styles and features. However, the launcher keeps its soul intact, becoming just a little more modern.
New Nova 7 features include the ability to add a weather icon to the search bar, with customizable position and temperature unit, plus you can change the corner radius of widgets to force even the most angular ones to fit better to the new design language of Android 12.
Also new is a new swipe-down gesture that can be assigned to any app or shortcut, or to a Nova Launcher option, however, this feature requires the Prime version of the app. Finally, you can now take advantage of Nova’s new advanced search and individually control the forced reshaping of each app’s icon.
This update lays the groundwork for the new version of Nova Launcher and could help speed up the integration of future features. It is possible to check if Nova 7 is already available in the Play Store using the badge you find below, but if not, you can anticipate Google by downloading and immediately installing the relative APK available on APK Mirror.
