Chrome can now open XFA-based PDF forms

Google continues to improve the functions and features of the PDF reader in the Chrome browser. Recently, the company added support for XFA-based PDF forms. Here is how to open the XFA form in the Chrome PDF reader.

What Is XFA?

XFA is the abbreviation of XML Forms Architecture. The XFA form is embedded in the PDF document, and the user can fill in the data and print it. You can enter data in the XFA form, but you cannot save it. For future reference, you may want to print out the completed form.

How to know if a PDF XFA is being read?

If your PDF browser does not support XFA forms, it may display this message- If this information is not eventually replaced by the correct content of the file, your PDF browser may not be able to display this type of file. As of now, Firefox and the new Microsoft Edge do not display this type of PDF form.
