Microsoft is bringing more large applications to the Microsoft Store in the Windows 11 operating system, such as the recently added Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio Community 2019. Interested testers can now easily download these two development tools through the Microsoft Store.
In addition, in the Windows 11 operating system, Microsoft will allow all developers to submit unpackaged Win32 applications to the store to further simplify the application search and installation experience. In addition to Visual Studio, the large applications that will land on the Windows 11 official app store also include Microsoft Teams, Disney+, Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom, and Canva.

As a product with a history of nearly 10 years, the Microsoft Store can be traced back to the era when Microsoft encouraged developers to create Metro-style applications for touch-screen PCs. Unfortunately, the promotion and development of the Microsoft Store, which debuted on Windows 8, has not been so smooth. Even Metro and UWP apps in the Windows 10 era are not capable of turning the tide.
The good news is that Microsoft finally realized that the large number of Win32 applications left over is what Windows users really want to see on the Microsoft Store. It’s just that we need to wait for a while before we can see more well-known applications enter the Windows 11 application store. At the same time, Microsoft is also working hard with Amazon to introduce Android applications into a new generation of desktop operating systems.
