Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G is Samsung’s latest foldable phone. According to XDA, this device is not friendly to some mobile phone enthusiasts. After unlocking the BootLoader, the device will prohibit the use of the camera.
Knox is a security kit for Samsung devices. Any modification of the device by the user will invalidate it, affect the warranty, and permanently disable Samsung Pay. Now, Knox has added new protection, when users unlock the BootLoader for Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G, they will be prohibited from using the camera.
According to the tests, after unlocking the BootLoader, the device’s facial recognition, camera, and even the lens calls of third-party apps can no longer be used. After relocking the BootLoader, the camera can resume normal operation.
From this point of view, the restriction is more like a software level, and it stands to reason that you can modify the parameters after Root to bypass this restriction. However, Magisk cannot be bypassed by default, and everyone should pay attention when playing on the phone. It is not clear whether the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G phone also has this limitation.
