The results of TV manufacturers in the first half of the year have been settled. The Global TV Brand Shipment Monthly Data Report recently released & shows that global TV shipments in the first half of 2021 were 98.3 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Among them, 2.7 million OLED TVs were shipped, a year-on-year increase of 133.3%. In terms of brands, Samsung ranked first in shipments of 20.8 million units, an increase of 11.9% YOY.
2~10 are LG, TCL, Hisense, Xiaomi, Sony, Vizio, Philips+AOC, Skyworth and Sharp respectively. TCL shipped 11.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%; Hisense shipped 8.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%; Xiaomi shipped 5.4 million units.
From the perspective of Samsung’s advantage, if nothing else, the world’s top sales throne in 2021 will still be occupied by Samsung, so as to achieve 16 years of contact to become the king. However, embarrassingly, according to data from another organization, Omdia, Samsung TV’s domestic performance is similar to that of mobile phones, and its share has fallen to 1.9%.
