One UI 4 with Android 12 is coming to the Galaxy S21 series soon

Apparently, Samsung has decided to change gear with regard to updates, as evidenced by a new banner published in the past few hours by one of the Community Managers of the South Korean giant. In recent times, the company is at the top in terms of the speed of release of security patches and has extended support for its smartphones, coming to offer 5 years of updates for some models.

The beta of One UI 4 for the Galaxy S21 series will arrive soon, with this sentence published today on the Samsung Community, comes the confirmation that the development of the new version of the interface, based on Android 12, is already in the phase advanced, so much so that the first beta already seems imminent. The first smartphones to receive the beta will be Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 + and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but many more will receive the final version.

Last year, just to make a comparison, Samsung only started talking about the One UI 3 beta in September, so this year there are already two months early. The image, which we propose below, does not report any date, but some speculate that the first beta could be released immediately after the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, scheduled for August 11th.

On the other hand, in the month of August, Android 12 Beta 4 will be released, which will bring the final APIs and the stability of the platform, allowing developers to carry out their own customizations certain that there will be no other noteworthy news. Even if the Galaxy S21 series will be the first to receive the new interface, also given the spread of smartphones, it is almost certain that other models will also be involved, in particular many mid-range that are the backbone of sales.

However, it is likely that some of the smartphones destined to receive One UI 4 Beta will first receive an update to One UI 3.1.1, which should debut in August along with the new leaflets. The list of smartphones that should receive Android 12 with One UI 4 is decidedly long and includes the Galaxy S10, S20 and S21 series, Note 10 and Note 20, the Galaxy Z series, and numerous models of the A, M and F series, as well to the latest tablets.

So keep following us because we will not fail to keep you updated on the evolution of the situation.
