Microsoft will announce the next-generation Windows on June 24, and now we know it is Windows 11. The preview version of Windows 11 has been leaked on the Internet, but as Microsoft officially responded, there will be more content on June 24.
According to the Windows Latest report, from the recently leaked updated documents and worklists, it is found that Microsoft is developing a new touch screen gesture feature for Windows 11. Officially called it “innovation and development of exciting sensor technology.”
As part of Windows 11 or the upcoming Windows update, popular features such as user presence detection, gesture detection, and ambient light will be improved to “achieve a dazzling user experience on Windows.”
As we all know, the tablet experience is one of the weaknesses of Windows 10, especially compared with the previous generation of Windows 8. For Windows 11, Microsoft is also rethinking various improvements including two-in-one devices.

According to sources familiar with the plan and a document released in September 2020, Microsoft is developing a new default gesture experience that is system-level and allows users to use touchpad-like gestures on the touch screen.
Microsoft’s Azure project manager Pranav Hippargi wrote in a supporting document: “Microsoft is considering introducing additional touch-based gestures in Windows to make it easier for users to use touch to complete various tasks.”
From the leaked Windows 11 preview version, Microsoft has implemented some functions, such as three-finger switching applications and four-finger switching virtual desktops. According to official documents, Microsoft wants multi-finger gestures to maintain application compatibility, so it is collaborating with the developer community and exploring “different ways”, such as allowing users to switch between multiple configurations when using multi-finger gestures.
It is worth mentioning that Microsoft will hold a meeting for developers four hours after the June 24 press conference, and it is expected to discuss the related content of application gesture compatibility.
