Telegram has put a handy feature in its chat app, the creation of folders. In this article, you will find out how to create those folders for a better overview.

If you use Telegram for your school, study, work and private life, the many messages can sometimes lose the overview. With version 6.0 this now comes to an end because with this version you can add messages and channels to useful folders. These folders will then be visible as a separate tab in Telegram and you simply swipe left to reach the folders.
Roadmap
You can create these handy folders as follows:
- Open the side menu via the three dashes
- Tap Settings and then Folders
- Tap Create New Folder

Here you can give the folder a name such as ‘Private’ or ‘Work’ and then add (up to 100) chats, bots and/or channels to it. You can also select chats here that should not be displayed in the folder such as muted, read, or archived conversations.
You can pin so many chats to the top in the folders and you can also easily archive chats by holding them down for a long time and tapping the archive or pin button. The created folders are also synchronized with Telegram Desktop so that you can also use them on your laptop.
