The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 smartwatches will re-run Google’s Wear OS system. This is undoubtedly a rare and significant strategic change for this South Korean company. The smartphones launched in the past few years are equipped with their own Tizen system.
Tizen’s problem is the lack of third-party applications, which seems to have prompted Samsung to cooperate with Google again. we hope this cooperation can bring optimization in many aspects, especially the battery life of Wear OS watches.

Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, while Watch Active4 will be available in 40mm and 42mm models. The former will have a “traditional watch design” while the latter will have a “casual and simple design”. Both watches will not have the previously rumored non-invasive blood glucose reading function, and may not even appear in future Samsung wearable devices.
