Google announced some assistant features for families in Assistant, including improved broadcasting, new ringtones and some new stories that can be read to children. Google said that they will launch these features for Mother’s Day, but some of these features may be useful to everyone, not just moms.
The first is an extension of the Broadcast function, which allows users to send messages to Assistant devices at home. By using Family Broadcast, information will now also be displayed on the user’s family group phone, and family members can reply to it. For example, if you want to tell everyone to be quiet when they go home because you are taking a nap, they can now receive this message outside the house.

Google has also added a new reminder to its Family Bell feature, which allows users to set recurring reminders for their family members. Google can now automatically remind the user’s family to water the plants or remind the child (or spouse) to clean the room for timely spring cleaning.
Assistant will also get more entertainment features, including Harry Potter stories that have appeared this weekend, stories about real heroes like Jane Goodall or Ruth Bader Ginsburg on smart displays, and “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?” Nest Hub game. In addition, Google also hinted that the game contains one or two Easter eggs: it hinted that users should set a timer on Mother’s Day.
