It has its fair share of pros and a good number of cons as well. The vast display is pretty standard in terms of quality but the TFT display fails to satisfy the eyes. The internal storage is meager but thankfully expandability saves it.
The configuration is strong enough to move smoothly through daily tasks but cannot expect heavy performance. The cameras are pretty average for what they are and get the job done. The battery, however, is enormous and will last you long, but charging it up can be quite a lengthy affair without quick charging support. Overall, this device has decent specs, but for the money, it could do better.

As per the report, this update carries firmware version T595XXS4CUD1 and it rolled out via OTA so, please be patient it will soon roll out widely.
Owners of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 can receive notification of this update. By chance you don’t receive an update notification then check the update manually by going to the device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
