The latest version of the Chrome browser on Android has begun to roll out a new price tracking feature to remind you to pay attention to the decline in the price of the goods you are concerned about. Some users have already received this new feature in Chrome 90, although it does not seem to be effective for everyone. Once activated, Chrome will monitor whether the goods in the tabs you open have price discounts, and send out notifications if there are any.
For mobile browser applications, this may be a useful feature, because Android Chrome is not compatible with price tracking extensions like Keepa, but it seems awkward to need to keep a tab open to tracking its price. I hope that Google can find a more sleek solution before the feature is widely promoted. After enabling, this function can be obtained from the setting menu of the label selection interface.

If your version of Chrome has updated this feature, you can open it through the three-dot settings menu at the top right of the tab selection screen. It is marked as “Track prices”. If it does not appear, you may be able to manually enable it by in the address bar “chrome://flags/#enable-tab-grid-layout”, click into the drop-down menu, and select “Enabled Price notifications”. Before this feature appears, your browser may need to be restarted again.
Microsoft’s Edge browser also added a price comparison tool before, and after the built-in support for coupons and promotional codes, the news of the price tracking function of the Chrome browser came. The Firefox browser also piloted a price tracking feature called Price Wise in 2018; however, it seems that it has not been officially released since.
