From 2012 to the present, Xu Zhijun has discussed with the auto companies such as China, Japan, Germany and other auto companies, and found that they do not need Huawei to build cars, but need Huawei to provide ICT capabilities to help them build good cars.
At a meeting in Sanya in 2018, Huawei’s executives clarified Huawei’s strategy of not building cars and helping companies build good cars. “This decision has not changed so far. Xu Zhijun said that Huawei has cooperated with three sub-brands, one of which is BAIC’s ARCFOX Polar Fox. Xu Zhijun revealed that a series of cars will be launched by the end of this year.
