According to reports, Adam Kicinski, the co-CEO of Polish video game publisher CD Projekt, said today that CD Projekt will not give up the game “Cyberpunk 2077“. Kissinski admitted that a series of problems appeared after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which disappointed users.
But CD Projekt will fix these problems and make this game a long-term success. Kissinski also said that CD Projekt is in contact with Sony, hoping that “Cyberpunk 2077” can be restored on the PlayStation App Store.
“Cyberpunk 2077” was officially released on December 10 last year and was one of the most-watched games at the time. Widely acclaimed for its mechanics and story, this sci-fi role-playing game has sold more than 8 million copies before its release. However, after the listing, CD Projekt’s market value was once reduced by 37% due to a large number of malfunctions and loopholes. To this end, Sony announced on December 18 that it would remove “Cyberpunk 2077” from its digital store.

Kissinski said today: “We will not shelve this game. We believe that we can bring this game to a state where we are proud of it and will sell it in the next few years.”
Last month, CD Projekt released a patch for “Cyberpunk 2077”. Kissinski said that this patch is a step towards returning to the PlayStation App Store. In addition, CD Projekt and Sony also maintain a “friendly cooperative relationship.”
Kissinski also said that CD Projekt is looking for acquisition opportunities because the company is embarking on “fundamental” reforms so that it can develop two high-cost games at the same time from next year. Kissinski said that these acquisitions are not intended to boost financial performance, nor are they limited to any geographic location.
On March 31, CD Projekt announced a comprehensive transformation plan. Simply put, in the future, CD Projekt will not bet all resources on one work at the same time, but will develop multiple games in parallel. The new strategy will be implemented in 2022.
