Later today, Microsoft ended the operation of its Windows 10 translation application (Microsoft Translator). According to the company, from April 9th, Windows 10 users will no longer be able to download the app from the Microsoft Store, but the app will continue to work on devices that have the app installed. Microsoft launched this version of the Translator app for Windows 10 in 2015, and the company has previously discontinued the same app on Windows Phones.
After ending support for Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft still retained the desktop version of the Translator application and also updated it with Fluent Design. Now, the Microsoft Translator application is being removed from the Microsoft Store. It should be noted that this change did not happen suddenly, because the decision was announced in March. Last month, Microsoft confirmed that it is discontinuing the translation tool on Windows 10 because there are other ways to access the translation feature.
Although you can access the translation function through Microsoft Edge or a third-party browser, Windows 10 still loses the best translation tool. Especially for users on devices such as Surface Pro 7, it is significantly more convenient to use the Translator application. It is worth mentioning that the web version, iOS version and Android version of Microsoft Translator are not affected by this change and can still be downloaded.

Microsoft also recommends that Windows 10 users try Android and iOS apps. This mobile application comes with support for advanced features, such as multi-device conversations. Users can join conversations and read texts in their own language through their mobile phones. Earlier this year, Microsoft also discontinued Office Lens for Windows 10 and removed the application from the Windows Store.
Office Lens was launched in 2015, and later it also entered the Android and iOS systems. When Microsoft pulled down the app, it said it would not continue to provide support or updates for Office Lens on the desktop, but the app can continue to work on Windows 10. Microsoft also recommends that users migrate to the Android and iOS versions of the service. This means that the company will now focus on the corresponding versions of these utilities for Android, iOS and the Web.
