Since the announcement of Huawei Band 4 in 2019, after a period of pause, Huawei is now ready to update. The company will skip the No. 5 product, and the latest model will be directly changed to 6. Perhaps this is related to the Mi Band 6 recently announced by Xiaomi. The AMOLED display of Huawei Band 6 is 1.47 inches with 194×368 pixels, which is a great improvement over the 0.96 inch LCD unit of Huawei Band 4. To be precise, it is 148% larger.
Huawei provides a large number of watch dial designs, which can be downloaded for free through the watch face store app or purchased for a fee. The new design also uses a very slim frame and a 64% screen-to-body ratio. Although different from Xiaomi, Huawei chose a more traditional rectangular shape instead of a prototype.
Huawei Band 6 weighs only 18 grams. Its body size is 43×25.4×10.99mm, a single-sided button is used for navigation, and the rated waterproof rating is 5ATM. The battery life is rated for two weeks of normal use or 10 days of heavy use, charged by a magnetic charger. Huawei also mentioned that it only takes 5 minutes to get enough power for 2 days of use.

In terms of sensors, Huawei Band 6 will provide continuous blood oxygen monitoring, which is also the first of this series. It also includes TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring, TruSleep 2.0 sleep monitoring and TruRelax 2.0 pressure monitoring. In addition, it can monitor heart health and screen for the risk of sleep apnea.
In terms of activity tracking, Huawei Band 6 will support 96 different sports modes. Other additional features include support for NFC payment, access control card swiping, standard mobile phone notifications, incoming calls and information reminders connected to mobile phones, and remote camera shutter and music playback control.
Huawei Band 6 has three colors, namely Amber Sunrise, Forest Green and Graphite Black. It is compatible with mobile phones running Android 6.0 or iOS 9.0 or higher and supports Bluetooth 5.0. Huawei Band 6 has been listed on the Malaysian website and will be available for purchase on April 4, priced at 219 ringgits, or about 53 US dollars.
