Research firm Counterpoint released the latest February global smartphone share report on the 29th. The shipments of the top 7 mobile phone brands increased month-on-month, with 5 out of 7 manufacturers. All of them are domestic mobile phone brands. Counterpoint Research analyst Kang Kyung-soo said: “Since Huawei was banned, the growth of Xiaomi and OPOO has been on the rise, but Samsung seems to have reacted and curbed further growth of its rivals through this year’s product launch plan.

Analysts also said that due to shortages of major parts, Xiaomi could not quickly expand its supply, and the production of certain products was stopped in February. In addition, the shortage of parts is expected to continue into the second quarter.
