In the past few months, Windows 10 has been testing the new “Device Usage” page internally to allow users to customize their device usage. And now Microsoft continues to expand the scale of testing and has opened up this feature to more Insider users.
This feature will allow users to specify the purpose for which they intend to use the computer (categories include games, family, creativity, homework, entertainment, and business), and then receive usage tips based on this information. If you choose Gaming, Windows 10 will be optimized for games, but it is not clear how “optimization” works and what changes will be made to your system.

When Microsoft cleanly installed the Windows system, a similar list of use cases was also mentioned in OOBE. Microsoft stated in the description that this choice will only affect the usage tips presented to users, and will not install or recommend certain applications.
Microsoft does not seem to intend to use this information to modify the configuration of Windows or for marketing. This function is currently hidden and requires a function code to unlock it.
