OPPO launched Find’s ten-year ideal work-OPPO Find X3 series on March 11, starting at 4499 yuan. This morning, Samsung Display said that in the second half of 2020, Samsung Display will launch a low-power OLED drive technology “adaptive refresh rate (variable refresh rate)” in the industry.
Samsung Display said that it recently provided an OLED panel with an adaptive refresh rate for OPPO, a Chinese customer. OPPO uses this panel in its flagship Find X3 series. The low-power OLED technology reduces the total power consumption of the panel by 46% compared with the previous generation.

According to reports, as a low-power OLED technology, the adaptive refresh rate can automatically adjust the display refresh rate according to the user’s use environment, thereby reducing power consumption. For example, 120Hz is used in mobile games that require fast screen switching, 60Hz for movies, 30Hz for emails, and a refresh rate below 10Hz for static pictures.
In addition to OPPO, Samsung Display will provide a 6.7-inch adaptive refresh rate OLED panel for OnePlus’s new smartphone OnePlus 9 Pro.
