LG said that 6G networks are expected to be commercially available in 2029. The company said that 6G will provide faster data speeds, lower network latency and higher reliability than 5G, and will be able to introduce the concept of the Internet of Everything (AIoE), which will provide users with an enhanced connection experience.
LG established a 6G research center with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology in 2019 and signed an agreement with the Korea Institute of Standards and Science last year to jointly conduct 6G technology research.
Keysight is a major supplier of 6G terahertz test equipment, and the company has been providing equipment for LG and the 6G research center of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
