Apple Insider reported that Apple device users have recently noticed an increase in the number of spam emails sent by FaceTime. It can be seen from the official website support forums and posts on social media that some users were forced to block hundreds of group calls with unknown accounts and numbers because the privacy protection measures that came with the system failed to take effect.
ArsTechnica pointed out that malicious initiators can use FaceTime’s group call feature to harass up to 31 people at the same time. When one person in the group chooses to hang up or the call fails, they may also be harassed by another account. Aidan_mp asked other people on Apple’s official support forum if they were recruited, and some people mentioned that they had been shot at least since last year.
From around 2 in the morning, I started to be bombarded with FaceTime group calls from strange contacts and unsaved random numbers. This incident repeated about 7 times that day, and each time it only rang once or twice and then hung up.

Obviously, the malicious call originator hopes to lure Apple device users to call back. However, the built-in security measures of the system cannot effectively intercept this process. Unless the victim manually blocks 31 numbers every time they are harassed by a spam group call, they will not be able to easily escape the intensive bombing.
Apple Insider pointed out that if Apple can provide a “contact-only” FaceTime call option in subsequent updates, the system’s built-in interception mechanism can be effective. If you can’t bear it, it seems that you can only unbind your mobile phone number or even completely disable the FaceTime feature.
