According to the latest information, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 dint brought many updates this year. Severe performance issues on last-gen consoles including the Playstation 4 and Xbox One were part of the problem. But critics and users also pointed out that many gameplay features – like the game’s AI – were underdeveloped or broken.
Modder cortlong50 felt that Cyberpunk’s combat system could also use a bit of change. As it stands, level scaling means that higher level NPCs can soak up entire clips of ammunition. The same holds true for the player, too, when going up against lower-tier opponents.
To counteract this, cortlong50’s mod sets all NPCs – and the player’s – health to 100 and eliminates health scaling on leveling up. This means that NPCs will die much faster, but that it’s also much easier for the player to die. For now the mod is still in beta. However, it could offer a good reason to get back into Cyberpunk, for more dynamic gunfights.
